Pocklington Tennis Club in the East Riding of Yorkshire

Pocklington Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities – from beginners who want to learn how to play tennis to those striving for top club standard.

A regular timetable of club evenings and days cater for social tennis. No prior arrangement has to be made; members come along when convenient and all levels of abilities mix together for a series of friendly matches. In winter, Club Sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays (10am-1pm) and Wednesdays (5.30pm-9pm).

For those seeking competitive, local league tennis, the club has a number of teams throughout the Driffield Lawn Tennis League, the Ladies’ Fulford Invitation League and York Men’s Tyke Leagues. In addition, the club also runs a series of tournaments throughout the season with a large Club Tournament at the end.

The club has floodlights on four courts along with a key code entry system which allows for the provision of pay-to-play, making our facilities available to non-members.

Members and non-members can book a court through our online booking system. Courts are free to use for members and cost £5 per 30 mins for non-members. Floodlights (courts 1-4) cost £2 per 30 mins for members, and £2.50 per 30 mins for non-members.

Pocklington Tennis Academy offers a full tennis coaching programme, organised by our LTA qualified coach Sean Evans, for both juniors and adults (free first trial session for all) Under 16s are catered for with a range of coaching sessions suitable for age and ability. Our adult programme offers sessions suitable for all abilities, together with our extremely popular cardio tennis.  Tennis camps run every school holiday and are a great way for 4-16 year olds to enjoy the school holidays.  See our camps section for more information.
